Opening Hours:

Olive Pink Botanic Garden is open to the public seven days a week throughout the year.Our opening hours are 8 am – 6 pm every day.We are closed on Christmas Day.  Entry to the Garden is by donation, and visitors are encouraged to be generous as we rely on public generosity to fund most of the Garden development and maintenance. It is possible to book functions within the Garden area outside of normal opening hours. Please contact the Curator to get more details about this.    

Directions and Map:
Olive Pink Botanic Garden is located close to the Alice Springs Central Business District,on the eastern bank of the (mostly dry) Todd River, and it is within walking distance from town,and from many of the motels and other tourist attractions.  Click to see a map of Alice Springs that shows the location of Olive Pink Botanic Garden.  

If you are driving into town along the Stuart Highway (the main north-south highway linking Adelaide, Alice Springs and Darwin) turn east onto Stott Terrace on the southern edge of the Alice Springs CBD. From Stott Terrace turn right (south) onto South Terrace at the roundabout just before crossing Todd River. Take the first turn to your left (Tuncks Rd) and cross over the river causeway, Olive Pink Botanic Garden entrance is to your left, just opposite the intersection with Barrett Drive.    

There is also a bicycle and walking footpath on the western bank of the Todd River, and this links easily to the Tuncks Rd causeway and our main entrance gate. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the Garden from either downtown Alice Springs, or from popular accomodation along Barrett Drive.
