Funding Sources for the Garden

Core operational funding for the Garden is generously provided by the BioParks section of the Northern Territory Government’s Department of Natural Resources, Environment and the Arts.

A significant portion of overall funding for Olive Pink Botanic Garden comes from donations and bequests given by members of the public and local businesses. We are very grateful for all donations, and any donation over $2 is tax-deductible.

Project grants and sponsorship from various government departments makes up another significant part of the Garden’s funding base, as does income generated from social events, raffles, café rental and merchandise sales organised by the Garden itself.

In 2007-2008 we received project grant funding from Tourism NT, NT Heritage Grants through NRETA, Power Water, Alice Springs Town Council, and the Community Benefit Fund. We are very grateful for all of these organisations, for their generous support.
